We would stay again in heartbeat

It was perfect for our group of 12 women on a girls' weekend. Common areas are big and wonderful for socializing, kitchen was nice and well-stocked, bedrooms were adequate. There was a ton of great board games. It has a quirky 1970's feel. We thought that made it charming. The carpet and furniture seemed dated but we thought the fabulous kitchen, dining room, and living room outweighed any gripes about that. We disagreed with the review that said it was dirty and not well-stocked with soaps, paper towels etc. Our biggest frustration was that it was a little cold and turning up the thermostat seemed to do nothing. Maybe it's because of the vaulted ceilings. But we had a fire and that did the trick. The property management was responsive, friendly and amenable to our desire to check out late. The walk into town was just a couple of blocks. We would stay again in heartbeat.

Great place!

We had a great time at this house. My family had plenty of room to hang out upstairs on the main floor in the spacious living room/ kitchen area. Nice living quarters, great kitchen and beautiful deck and hot tub areas. The management staff was also amenable and very kind! We would definitely stay here again.

Disappointing

House is not well cared for. Heater vents falling off, base boards falling off. The washer and dryer did not work, the dryer had duct taped buttons, dryer hose was not connected. The fire extinguisher expired in the 1990's. We had to buy basic supplies like dish soap, trash bags and paper towels because what was supplied at the house was very minimal. This house, in the shape or is in, is not acceptable or safe for renting.

Guys weekend

Exactly what I was looking for. House was a little dusty and trash in garage was never taken out from previous guests, but we made due and enjoyed the stay very much.

Family Reunion

We had family come from New York and Washington DC to stay the weekend and ski. This house was absolutely phenomenal to fit everyone comfortably. The fireplace provides an amazing ambiance in the great room. In addition the games in the basement are another way to enjoy the home. Very close to downtown, about a 10 min walk. Bus stop is right outside of the driveway which makes getting downtown and getting to the ski resort a breeze. Stay here if you are looking to stay in Breck!

Excellent Home for a Group

Our group of 16 had a great time. The house was well equipped. The pool table, ping pong, and hot tub were all excellent. They were well stocked with paddles, balls, towels, etc. The shuttle station (in the front yard) was also very handy.

Super location and space galore!

We were looking for a home large enough for 12 people of various sizes, that had a large comfortable great room and kitchen, and would not bust the bank. And this fit our needs perfectly! The kitchen and living areas are very conducive for larger groups to gather and be together. It is also close enough to walk to town (if you can handle about 4 blocks up hill at 9,800' on the return). And we walked to the sled hill for a super fun outing. The home was well equipped, but a bit dated. The beds and bedrooms are quite basic and could use some new linens. And it would have been nice if the home came with some general operating / visiting instructions, as the lighting and heating adjustments were not that obvious. Overall, it was a fantastic place for our family and we would highly recommend it.

Skiing or not, this is a great house for a Large Group

We were so happy we chose this property for our Christmas vacation. We had 10 adults and 5 children and everyone was comfortable. We are a big italian family and cooked every night. The kitchen was very well appointed and had everything we needed. The hot tub was clean and hot. Midweek, upon request, someone came to fill the water level.Showers were always hot, and people downstairs said the water pressure was excellent. One of the best features was having the bus stop right infant of the house. This house could not be more convenient for skiers. Also great to be just a short walk to town. Proximity to Carter Park for sledding was terrific, too. House was well stocked with firewood, and we enjoyed a fire each day.I stayed in the upstairs guest room, and the bed was not very comfortable, but all the other pluses of this house out weigh that small minus.I would definitely stay here again.

York vacation at Red Lodge

Location was great. Accommodated our party of 15 well. Kitchen was exceptional as we prepared most meals there. Excellent space to entertain additional guests.

Good house for family vacation

The kitchen was modern and well equipped. We liked the openness of the kitchen, dining and living room. The furnishings were a bit shabby but overall it worked well for our family of eleven.

Great Mountain View

This rental is a large, wonderful space for a large group. We had 16 in ours. We loved the large open living space, porch, and big kitchen with granite counters. Although the furniture is well worn, we didn't mind because it was very homey. The bedrooms were very adequate but we all thought the mattresses were on the hard side. The house was fairly clean although I noticed dust in the bedroom and bathroom. Faucets in the bathroom work hard. THere was one broken lightbulb still in the socket which surprised us. One bathroom had a broken shower door which was supposed to be replaced on Monday (we arrived on Saturday), but was not, nor did we receive a call explaining why it never arrived. With a little more love, this place would definitely be a 5 star rental. We had a terrific time there.

Awesome mountain weekend

The property is very convenient and had lots of room for large groups. There is some wear on surfaces and carpets, and the bathroom locations are strange. Other than that, highly recommended. Chris was very attentive.

Redwood Lodge

Great experience!! The house was perfect for our extended family. Had a total of 11 including 2 kids (8 and 4yo). The house is spacious, within a few blocks of Main St and the gondola. The bus stop is LITERALLY outside the front door and goes to the gondola base. The house was clean and well-stocked with kitchen items/towels. We had a visiting fox and moose on most mornings which the kids loved. We will definitely be back on our next trip here! The only negative I can think of was some poor lighting in a few of the bedrooms. One thing I would suggest is a rack for skis/boards and boots to dry them.
- Jaysun C.

Great Stay

Bus stop right outside of the house, very convenient!
- Kate G.

Old House

It was ok, location was great, the house is old and it needs to be renovated, the only good place in the house is the kitchen.
- Andres C.

Great Place

Great location, plenty of space and plenty of parking. This lodge was perfect to accommodate our large group with everyone in their own bed. The shuttle stop directly outside the house is a big plus. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for a big group!

My husband rented the home for a weekend getaway with friends and family. It was the perfect place for a large group. Plenty of rooms, bathrooms, space for skis, and a beautiful dining room table and fireplace where we gathered every night. The kitchen was perfect and fully stacked with all cooking utensils to make big meals as well for everyone. Location was great and the shuttle stop is literally outside of the house. We felt right at home and want to do this trip again. The only thing is the washer ruined a couple items of clothes so just be careful when using. I recommend this house for anyone taking a trip to Breckenridge.
- Danielle S.

Great location!

This was a great place for our family! (6adults) we all had our own rooms & baths. The kitchen was perfect and well stocked. Walked to town several times. A beautiful spot. The only complaint I would make is that it could have been a little cleaner. But we had a wonderful stay.

Fabulous!

We had 11 people staying at the house COMFORTABLY. It was absolutely perfect for our family. Having the bus stop outside the driveway, added a convenience that enhanced our stay. With four children, 5 and under, it was perfect!

Family Reunion

The Redwood Lodge was a great place for our family reunion. The location was truly on 4 blocks up from main street and the bus stop was just out the door for easy access to the grocery store or downtown for those who don't want to walk. The pool table and ping pong table were a great hit.

Family gathering

My family from NY came for a visit and we wanted them to have a true Colorado experience. We chose Breckenridge and since there were 12 of us we needed a large rental. Alpine Lodge was just the place. We had plenty of room to all be together and spaces to go if you needed some privacy.

Weekend Stay in Breckenridge

We had a great time, we were very pleased with the location and property in general. The large living space on the main floor was perfect for lounging around during the afternoons. The view was wonderful and being within walking distance of Main St was a huge plus.
- Zach H.

Bachelorette Weekend

We had an incredible stay at the Alpine Lodge. The house was gorgeous, the pictures didn't do it justice! We had been worried about trying to cram 18 women in one house and still be able to walk to Main Street. While we tended to use the shuttle and cabs it was easily walkable!
- Brianna B.

Great time

We had a great time with family and friends in this large, warm house. The fireplace and hot tub really made it a great place to relax after days on the slopes. The location is fantastic too with the shuttle right outside and a quick walk downtown. Would definitely stay there again!
- Michael H.

Thanksgiving in Breck

Spent the long Thanksgiving weekend with family (7 adults, 5 children). Chose the Redwood Lodge for its large kitchen and living room and nearness to downtown. It more than met our expectations.
- Jerry P.

Breck in September

Great spot. Very spacious and beautiful views. Everything you need for a large group.
- Chris B.

Lots of Room and Great Location

Our group of 5 adults and 4 kids stayed here for a week in August. The property is within walking distance to Main St, shopping, lots of hiking trails, etc. Great location. The house itself was in pretty good condition. The kitchen was great for preparing meals, and the dining and living rooms had plenty of space for our group to relax. The only niggles were: dirty carpet in the lower level, overgrown back yard, no pillows for the swing, and the retaining wall by the driveway should have a fence (big safety hazard for small kids, and a big liability to the property owner).Overall, we had a great stay, and we'd be happy to rent the property again.
- Ian G.

Great place

We spent labor day weekend at Redwood Lodge and the place was fantastic. There was plenty of room for our extended family and the house was very kid friendly. We especially enjoyed the short walk to town! Alpine Edge was extremely easy to work with. We would definitely stay at Redwood Lodge again.

Awesome family lodging`

For five nights in early August 2014, my family vacationed together at the Redwood Lodge. We were delighted with the accommodations! It offered more than enough space for our six adults and two children. The kitchen was perfect; we prepared all but one dinner using the kitchen and gas grill. The dining room table was our gathering place for breakfast and dinners. After dinner each night, we enjoyed visiting in front of the lodge's comfortable fireplace. An added plus was daily sightings of the neighborhood red fox. Location was perfect for walking to Main street and the gondola for free rides up the mountain to Peak 8 lodge. Awesome experience.
- Charles B.

Nice place

The house is very spacious for our group of 15. It was improved from our stay of 2yrs ago but could have been cleaner. New carpet upstairs helped greatly but basement carpet was not nice or clean. Overall was a nice place.

A great Family Summer Trip

Well located property with reasonably easy walking access to town. New carpet and a well updated kitchen are great. Shuttle at the curb is great. Lots of bedrooms and living space. Minor details would be to mow the back fenced area for kids, supply cushions for the outside swing, a few additional stacking chairs for the deck (2 were broken leaving only 2)and functioning speakers (or instructions) for the music system. Overall we were very pleased and consider the property a good value. We will return next year if available.
- chris m.

Great Place to Stay and Location to Downtown

Great place to stay. More than enough room for everyone. Location is within walking distance to downtown or the bus stop is right out front.
- Stan J.

Comfortable Place

The house was very roomy with plenty of space to spread out. The location was great! Public transportation (free) just outside the door. A fairly easy walk into town, but coming back it is uphill. We were disappointed that there wasn't a ping pong table and also that the back yard could not be used because it was overgrown. Overall, we were satisfied with the experience.

Extended-Family Vacation

We had a great time staying at Redwood Lodge. The house is ideal for a large group. Loved that there are enough bedrooms & bathrooms to accommodate privacy as well as large, comfortable spaces for meals and socializing. The location is very convenient to Main Street. We also received excellent customer service and wouldn't hesitate to return to this house.
- Thomas F.

Perfect Location

The Redwood Lodge was such a great cabin! We had a group of 17 of us - and we all slept comfortably. Couldn't have been happier! It was great to just walk out the front door and take a shuttle to the slopes and Main Street. Coming home to light a fire and relax in the hot tub was great! Loved the cupboard full of games, kitchen was gorgeous, and each room had great privacy. We will definitely be back!
- Danielle G.

Great House, Great Location

The house was great and the proximity to Main Street and the mountain was excellent. Had an awesome time!
- Cortney W.

Fantastic Place to Stay!!!

We rented Redwood Lodge for our family to stay together over the week of Thanksgiving. We had 8 people total staying in the house. The accommodations were great...we had more than enough room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. The open concept kitchen, dining room, living room was perfect for all of us to congregate. And the newly updated and fully stocked kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our Thanksgiving dinner. We also loved the brand new hot tub out on the back deck and had fun playing pool, ping, pong, and with the large collection of board games they had available. Overall, a fantastic house, great location, great space!!
